Meet the expert behind our practice
Dr. Tracy Brown graduated from Virginia Tech in 1995. She practiced in the Triad from 1995 to 2002 and has operated her own multi-doctor equine veterinary practice in Richmond, VA from 2002 to 2008. Tracy and her family are both very fond of North Carolina and made the decision to return the area. Dr Brown has been a competitive rider and horsewoman for over 30 years and currently competes in dressage and endurance.
Dr. Brown has been practicing equine medicine for over 25 years; her interests include equine internal medicine and sports medicine. She is a strong proponent of quality nutrition and preventative management for the long term health of the equine athlete. She offers experience in sports medicine, emergency medicine, radiology, ultrasonography, endoscopy, nutritional counseling, geriatrics , and neonatology. Dr Brown believes that equine veterinarians with experience as horsemen have a superior understanding of the challenges facing their fellow equine enthusiasts. She offers practical solutions to these challenges and strives to provide optimal care for the best interests of your horse.
